Maple Hill Chapter, NSDAR, demonstrates its love of country in the many patriotic endeavors it pursues, including:

Sending care packages each month to deployed troops

Presenting awards to outstanding Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) cadets at local high schools

Placing wreaths on veterans’ graves as part of the “Wreaths Across America” initiative

Organizing Constitution Week activities during the week of Sep. 17-23 including bell-ringing ceremonies for Bells Across America and presentations at local schools

Distributing copies of the U.S. Constitution

Providing United States Flags to new Habitat for Humanity homeowners

Maintaining an American flag on the grave of U.S. Army Captain Wade C. Ramsey, who was killed in 2011 in Afghanistan when his company came under fire

Presenting DAR Good Citizens awards to high school seniors and DAR Youth Citizenship Medals to grades five through 12
